Don Brown Named District Manager in the Great Northwest

Don Brown assumes the role of The Butler Company’s Northwest District Manager after being a part of the animal health industry for more than 20 years.  After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and a Master’s Degree in Agribusiness Management from The Ohio State University, Don went on to begin his career with Ralston Purina as a Sales Consultant.  He then joined Fort Dodge Animal Health where he spent 13 years as first a Territory Manager, then a National Sales Trainer, Companion Animal Product Manager, District/Regional Sales Manager, and finally a National Account Manager before joining The Butler Company team in 2000 as the Director of Marketing, Companion Animal Segment.  Don’s responsibilities included communicating and implementing vendor programs and promotions, and launching the widely popular Lean Treats.

As District Manager, Don will now be responsible for managing 16 Territory Managers in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Northern California.  He will provide Territory Managers with product and sales training, help in developing and maintaining vendor relationships, and provide support to Territory Managers with any customer special needs or requests.  Don and his family currently live near The Butler Company corporate office in Dublin, Ohio.  Don will be relocating to Denver, Colorado in March and his family will join him in June.
