With several weeks left before the 2004
Annual Conference kicks off in Scottsdale, Arizona on May 16,
pre-registration is up considerably over last year. More than 140 are

Officers to be Held in Scottsdale
AVDA will be holding its Annual Meeting on
Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
in Scottsdale, Arizona, in conjunction with its Annual Conference.The
AVDA Nominating Committee has presented a slate of candidates for the
2004-2005 Board of Directors, which will be voted upon by AVDA’s

Distributors Outlook Survey Upbeat
for First Quarter of 2004
AVDA’s Distributor Members were recently
surveyed for the first quarter ending March 31, 2004 on their outlook
for the veterinary distribution industry. Thirty-two percent of
distributor members responded to the survey.

Distributors Facing Pedigree Laws
in Growing Number of States
On June 3, 2003 Florida Governor Jeb Bush
signed the Prescription
Drug Protection Act or Pedigree Paper law. Many provisions of the
act became effective July 1, 2003, with other portions being phased in
as of January 1, 2004 and full pedigree requirements effective July 1,
