Criteria for the Lifetime Achievement Award

  1. The award may be presented to one, two or more deserving individuals each year at the annual conference. However, the AVDA Board may also decide not to give out the award in any given year if, in their discretion, there are no deserving candidates nominated.

  2. The award can be presented to either a member or a non-member.

  3. The award may recognize;

     dedication and service to the animal health industry, and/or

    years of participation in the animal health industry, with a minimum of 20 years in the industry

  4. The AVDA board shall determine who receives the award(s).

  5. The board will accept nominations from AVDA members. Self-nominations will not be accepted.

  6. Nominations for persons not selected for the award in one year may be resubmitted provided the person still meets professional criteria.

  7. The award is formally presented at the AVDA Awards Ceremony during the AVDA Annual Conference.
