AVDA Elects New President

AVDA elected a new president and board of directors for 2007-2008.

Bobby Mims of Merritt Veterinary Supply will be leading AVDA as president. Mims’ term as president comes on the heels of a successful conference in Savannah, Georgia where more than 150 industry representatives and spouses attended the annual event.

Supporting Mims is a strong cabinet of officers including Chairman Deborah Olson of Nelson Labs and Immediate Past Chairman, Sam Woodside of Henry Schein Animal Health. George Henriques of Webster Veterinary Supply was named President-Elect.

Newly elected directors to the board include: Mary Pat Thompson of MWI Veterinary Supply and Robert Zeide of PCI Animal Health and Ben Coe of Butler Animal Health Supply as active member directors. Lorne Elder of Welch Allyn was elected as Associate Member director and Brad Butler of Butler Sales Associates was elected as Alternate Associate Member director.

Continuing on the board are: Bruce Peterson of Columbus Serum Company, Jim Bradley of Bradley Caldwell and Gary Huffine of IVESCO.
