AVDA proudly introduces its newly elected president and board of directors for 2008-2009.

George Henriques of Webster Veterinary Supply will be leading AVDA as president. Henriques’ term as president comes on the heels of a successful conference in Tucson Arizona where more than 185 industry representatives and spouses attended the annual event.

Supporting Henriques is a strong cabinet of officers including Chairman Bobby Mims of Merritt Veterinary Supply and Deborah Olson of Nelson Labs as Immediate Past Chairman. Mary Pat Thompson of MWI Veterinary Supply was named President-Elect.

Newly elected directors to the board include: Ken Williams of Henry Schein Animal Health and Craig Peterson of Columbus Serum. Continuing on the board as Active member directors are: Robert Zeide of PCI Animal Health, Ben Coe of Butler Animal Health and Gary Huffine of IVESCO.

Lorne Elder of Welch Allyn, Associate Member Director, resigned from the board due to his upcoming retirement from the company. The board appointed Brad Butler (Alternate Associate Member director) of CEVA Animal Health to represent the Associate membership as Associate Member Director and Steve Curvey of Merial as Alternate Associate Member director.
