AVDA 2004 Annual Conference in Scottsdale to Promote Channel Interdependence

The animal health products channel is comprised of independent businesses that are mutually dependent on each other – or INTERDEPENDENT. Product suppliers, manufacturers, manufacturers’ representatives and wholesaler-distributors all rely on the particular expertise of their channel partners to maintain the efficiency that exists in the animal health market. The 2004 conference will be a celebration of our Interdependence.

This year's meeting will have a variety of speakers, discussing issues of value

to animal health distributors and manufacturers and promoting cooperation and communication between channel partners. One of the keynote speakers of the conference will be Robert Nadeau of Industrial Performance Group. He will discuss manufacturer/distributor relationships and how to improve them.

In order to survive and thrive in this new environment, an organization must understand, adapt, and evolve as the world around them changes. This requires access to high-quality information which promotes understanding of the events that are occurring in an industry and those that are likely to occur in the future. Information also helps an organization identify opportunities, make good decisions, and take the appropriate action. However, information is the one thing that manufacturers and distributors appear to be lacking.

To help us better understand this key issue, Mr. Nadeau invites you to participate in his current E-survey on the industry/market information needs of manufacturers and distributors. The results of this survey will be presented by Mr. Nadeau at our meeting in May.

When you go to the survey, identify yourself as a manufacturer or distributor and choose animal health as your industry segment.
