The Florida Department of Health sent a letter to distributors clarifying the issuance of the new Health Care Clinic Establishment permit on December 24, 2008. The department will begin issuing these permits on January 1, 2009. This letter was posted on the AVDA list-serv last week and provides additional guidance to distributors doing business with veterinary practices. Ed Bayo of Metzger, Grossman, Furlow, & Bayó attended the Florida DWAC hearing on December 29 on AVDA’s behalf and provided an analysis of the hearing and responses to questions from AVDA members about the new HCCE permit. The Florida Department of Health also provided a reference guide on the permit which is linked here. All of this information was posted to the AVDA list-serv on December 29.
