William Milburn Passes Away

William T. Milburn

William Milburn, owner and CEO of Milburn Distributors, passed away on December 14, 2008. Milburn Distributors was the world’s largest equine veterinary distributor company before its sale to Webster Veterinary products.

He was born of Dec. 20, 1943, in Springfield.

He had four brothers, Curt, Don, Joe and Frank, all but two of whom have now welcomed him home. He is also joyfully reunited with his parents, Frank and Thelma, who preceded him in death.

Bill was a testament to the American dream. A graduate of Lanphier High School, Bill worked multiple jobs to keep his family fed and a roof overhead. Through hard work and dedication Bill climbed the ladder of success to become owner and CEO of Milburn Distributions, the world's largest equine veterinary distribution company.

Although Bill was a successful entrepreneur, his greatest achievement was his family.

He is survived by two sons, Todd and Brent; two daughters, Kimberly Ettling and Tracy Elam; as well as 10 grandchildren.

Donations may be made to Phoenix Children's Hospital, 1919 East Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
