AVDA 2010 Conference Location: Silverado Resort in Napa, California

Set upon 1,200 beautiful acres, in the heart of the world-famous Napa Valley, the Silverado Resort is one of the nation’s most captivating and highly rated group destinations. A treasured California landmark for over 140 years, Silverado’s rich history began in the 1870s as the residential estate of a Civil War General. After finishing a 15 million dollar property wide renovation, Silverado is a contemporary and

sophisticated meetings venue that has successfully maintained its original character and charm. Silverado, a four diamond property, is a world class destination Resort featuring two championship golf courses, a full service Spa, 10 swimming pools, 17 tennis courts and Bocce Ball as well as hiking and biking trails. Location is everything and Silverado is located within minutes of over 400 wineries.

AVDA has secured a discounted conference rate of $235 per night for single or double occupancy for one bedroom fireplace suites. There is an additional resort fee of $20 per night that includes the following amenities: gratuities for hotel staff, self or valet parking, unlimited WIFI access, unlimited local and 800 calls, USA Today paper delivery, tennis, golf bag storage, in-room coffee and tea, fitness center and invitation to more than 30 fitness classes offered weekly.

The reservation cut-off date is Monday, March 15, 2010, reservations made after this date will be subject to availability and are not guaranteed the AVDA discounted rate. Please note the discounted rate will be available three days before and three days after the meeting.
With more than 400 wineries, Napa Valley has long been the heart of the American wine industry. Wine appreciation classes, guided winery tours and the Napa Wine Train make planning a grape adventure simple. Adding culinary cache is the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) and the many four and five star restaurants in the valley. Visitors to Napa enjoy activities such as hot air ballooning, touring vineyards by bicycle, horseback riding in Bothe-Napa State Park or a scenic wine cruise along the Napa River.
